2015 Antithesis Pinot Noir
As night becomes day, dark fades into light. In this spirit, the Antithesis came into being. From a black grape, Pinot Noir, we made white wine. The Antithesis is Oregon Pinot Noir in a less traditional form. Without skin contact, the wine remains golden. The Antithesis is fermented in oak and then moved to stainless steel for aging. This wine was made in an oxidative style. Aromatically, this wine displays sherry like characteristics reminiscent of yeast, nut skins, and wet clay. This wine is bone dry and has vibrant acidity. The fruit is austere allowing these secondary elements to be the main force of this wine. The method used to make Antithesis is in direct opposition to our flagship wine the Diplomat. 13 cases produced, Enjoy!
