2012 Diplomat Pinot Noir
The 2012 Diplomat is a blend of two vineyard sites: Beacon Hill and Barron Wahl Vineyards. These grapes were picked at the beginning of the harvest season, which allowed for a wine with natural restraint. The blend is completely comprised of the Pommard clone of Pinot Noir, selected for its complex characteristics providing rich and beautiful layers. The Diplomat begins with a powerful floral aromatic, moves to bright fruit, and ends with a deep dark core. Aging the 2012 Diplomat for fifteen months in barrel rounded out the tannin and allowed the wine to mature. The finished product is a true Diplomat of Idealist Wines. Enjoy. 135 cases produced.
